The N.C. House panel investigating Rep. Thomas Wright, D-New Hanover, will reconvene at 6:30 this evening to discuss the sanction it will recommend for Wright’s behavior in office. The panel can recommend that the full House vote to remove Wright.

This afternoon the bipartisan six-member panel voted unanimously to find guilt in six of eight charges brought against Wright. Accusations include campaign finance violations and the unauthorized use of his elected office to solicit funds for a nonprofit group.
