The N&R reports the Guilford County Parks and Recreation Commission will push for a $20 million bond on the November ballot:

Among the parks projects are $6 million for the first phase of the 534-acre Bryan Park at Guilford County. The county wants to build fields there that could attract major softball and lacrosse tournaments.

A park for disabled children near Simeon Stadium in High Point is planned along with a Greensboro skateboard park that could be built near downtown. The county also wants to refurbish Greensboro-owned Hagan-Stone Park.

Then, there are the greenways. Parks leaders want $4 million to continue building a network of paved trails throughout the county. A master plan recommends more than 100 miles of greenways, but only about 25 miles have been built by Greensboro, High Point and the county, according to a bond project list.

Mind you, city voters passed a $5 million parks and rec bond last November. Not exactly the same thing, but…..
