While we’re on the subject, I’ll draw one more comparison between Guilford County Schools and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.

Last night, I looked over the list of projects slated for GCS’ proposed $512 million school bond. Two jumped out at me: classroom additions, upgraded media centers and gyms at Southeast and Southwest high schools at a cost of $28 million and $26 million, respectively.

I know this question has been asked before, but I’ll ask it again: How come they can build entire schools in Forsyth County for less than that amount?
