You are cordially invited to hear John Boyle speak this coming Monday evening. I heard a rumor that he had been hired as a consultant for the City of Detroit several years ago. Reportedly, when he told them they needed to address their unfunded liabilities, he was fired. I don’t know if this is true or not, so I’m leaving it to you to show up and ask him.
Boyle continues to tour as he is able to pull himself away from his real job, which is providing financial consulting for local governments and businesses. Boyle will be speaking about the current state of the nation’s unfunded liabilities at 7:00 p.m., in the Broyhill Chapel at Mars Hill College. Since a full house is expected, I’m lobbying the promoter to let me be the organist.
