The economy has dominated the debate so far in the 2012 presidential campaign, but religion still could play a role in the race — especially as the two major parties scramble for advantage in the campaign’s closing weeks.
That was one of the themes Acton Institute associate editor Ray Nothstine discussed during a presentation today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society on the role of religion in presidential politics. In the video clip below, Nothstine discusses the dangers of political messianism.
