A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has ordered a new trial in the case of Curtis Lambert, a Sylva police officer who was fired after he decided to run for sheriff of Jackson County.
Appellate judges agreed the trial court had mistakenly ruled in Sylva’s favor without considering all necessary evidence in the suit.
