The N.C. House already had voted to override three of Gov. Beverly Perdue’s vetoes this week before Americans for Prosperity had its chance to rally in favor of veto overrides.

Nonetheless, AFP North Carolina state director Dallas Woodhouse and his supporters gathered in front of the Legislative Building during the lunch hour to praise lawmakers for their override votes. Woodhouse also discussed the importance of overriding other measures Perdue has vetoed, including the Energy Jobs Act linked to offshore drilling and hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) for natural gas.
