College campuses are dotted with various “centers” that have some tenuous connection with higher education but usually have very little to do with teaching the students. Chapel Hill has its infamous Center on Poverty, Work, and Opportunity, which is a platform for “progressive” nonsense on the need for more government welfare and economic meddling. Not quite as nasty but still evidently wasteful is UNC Wilmington’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Bob Smith writes about it here.
