The release of JLF’s Freedom Budget 2005 has generated multiple
opportunities for Joe Coletti. This week he discussed the alternative
state budget on “Prosperity Today,” produced by Americans for
Prosperity NC and aired on State Government Radio in Raleigh.  On
Thursday he spoke to the Crabtree Rotary Club, and on Friday, taped “At
Issue” on NBC 17. The show aired Sunday at 11 a.m.  As the
legislature continues its negotiations over taxes and a lottery, the
Charlotte Observer published JLF perspective on the issue as a “For the
Record” commentary. The material was derived from the Agenda 2004
report. In Dunn, Daily Record columnist Bart Adams recently wrote about
the prospects of a full-time legislature in the state. John Hood
pointed out that in Texas, the legislature only meets every other year
and still manages to get its work done.
