Would this DNC ever nominate a candidate who advocated doing what Bill Clinton did during his term? Remember, Bill Clinton significantly cut the capital gains tax, reformed welfare by making work a prerequisite to receive it, implemented “don’t ask don’t tell” for the military and enthusiastically signed the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) into law. I don’t think that there is any chance whatsoever that a person advocating these or similar policies could ever be nominated by the party currently holding its convention in Charlotte.
