Many commentators miss the mark by labeling evangelicals as part of a monolithic bloc that opposes science and believes only in the literal truth of the Bible.
UNC-Chapel Hill assistant professor Molly Worthen delivered that message during a presentation to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. Her remarks were based on key themes from her book Apostles of Reason. In the video clip below, Worthen challenges popular misconceptions about evangelicals.
