The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved an authorization to use military force in Syria by a 10-7 vote yesterday.  Neither of North Carolina’s senators, Richard Burr or Kay Hagan, are on the committee.  An article that was released early this morning shows a breakdown of the votes in the committee and how much each member received in campaign contributions from defense contractors.  The research showed that those voting “YES” for military force in Syria received much more than those voting “NO”.
