John Hood traveled to western Carolina early this week, where he met with editors and reporters at five newspapers, including the Asheville Citizen-Times and the Times News in Hendersonville. He also stopped by WWNC-AM and appeared with talk show host Matt Mittan. They discussed the lottery, lobbying reform, legislative slush funds, and the expansion of Carolina Journal. Later in the week, Hood appeared on WUNC-FM’s “The State of Things” for a segment on the relationship between poverty and economic trends. WUNC is heard from the Triangle to the coast.
