As a new governor and General Assembly struggle to find ways to cover holes in the state budget, John Locke Foundation Fiscal Policy Analyst Joseph Coletti has reminded them that a pattern of government overspending placed the state in its current budget predicament. The Morganton News-Herald picked up a JLF press release on Coletti’s latest Spotlight report, and the Fayetteville Observer spotlighted the report in its weekly column on political news. Coletti discussed the budget and other topics in an interview with UNC Television, to be aired in the year’s first episode of Legislative Week in Review. JLF communications director Mitch Kokai discussed Coletti’s findings during an appearance Tuesday morning on Curtis Wright’s program on Wilmington’s “Big Talker” radio station, WLTT.
