John Hood returned to the “Brad and Britt” show on WZTK Radio this week to discuss the Wake County school controversy, the latest flap involving conservative activist Andrew Breitbart, and other hot political topics. WRAL Television interviewed Hood for an upcoming documentary on distracted driving. Hood also participated in a Heritage Foundation panel discussion on the topic “Bankrupting Our Children’s Future.” News & Observer editor John Drescher’s column on former University of North Carolina President William Friday cited Hood as a Friday Fellow. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted Hood’s Daily Journal columns this week on the N.C. Association of Educators, NAACP efforts to stir up racial controversies, and North Carolina’s persistent traffic problems. The Edspresso.com website also publicized Hood’s column on NCAE efforts to block real education reform. The Carolina Talk Network promoted a video of Hood discussing the 2010 legislative session during a recent episode of the N.C. Spin television program.
