As this year’s session of the North Carolina General Assembly enters its final days, John Locke Foundation President John Hood is sharing his political and policy insights with a statewide audience. News 14 Carolina’s “Capital Tonight” program interviewed Hood about the new state budget and school choice. The News & Observer and Charlotte Observer interviewed Hood about the top leaders in the state House and Senate.
Shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court issued its ruling in the federal health care case, Hood shared his analysis with a national audience through National Review Online’s main blog, “The Corner.” The American Spectator blog took note of Hood’s comments.
The Winston-Salem Journal sought Hood’s analysis of the Cato Institute’s decision to hire retired BB&T executive John Allison to lead the libertarian think tank. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted Hood’s columns this week on eugenics compensation, the state budget, N.C. legislative Democrats’ public education priorities, and improving state government productivity.
