Both the Charlotte Observer and Raleigh News & Observer published University of North Carolina historian Peter Coclanis’ positive review of John Locke Foundation President John Hood‘s new book, Our Best Foot Forward: An Economic Recovery Plan for North Carolina. The book “is loaded with data and interesting ideas and makes valuable contributions to the policy debate in North Carolina,” Coclanis writes. “Fair-minded readers of all political stripes — including those loath to
support the programs Hood is promoting — likely will agree.” Cape Fear Business News also highlighted Hood’s book.
The News & Observer featured Hood’s column on moral superiority in the newspaper’s “As Seen Online” feature. CarolinaPlottHound.com also promoted that column. N.C. Senate Republicans cited Hood’s column on the governor’s race in their daily press email.
