The News & Observer‘s “Under the Dome” blog, NCPoliticalNews.com, and N.C. Senate Republicans’ daily press email all highlighted this week a new report from John Locke Foundation Vice President for Research and Resident Scholar Roy Cordato. The report explains how North Carolina’s new tax reform plan sets the stage for long-term growth in the state. The Duplin Times published Cordato’s recent column on misleading language that plagues the global warming debate.

In other JLF research news, MainStreet.com quoted Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops in an article about the impact of teacher salaries on student achievement. NCPoliticalNews.com promoted Director of Fiscal Policy Studies Sarah Curry‘s research newsletter panning targeted incentives for Charlotte’s Carowinds amusement park. N.C. Senate Republicans highlighted Director of Regulatory Studies Jon Sanders‘ column on costs associated with state auto emissions inspections.

Researchers and much of the rest of the JLF staff spent at least part of the week in Oklahoma City for the State Policy Network’s annual meeting.
