The problem, of course, is that the accumulation of governmental obstacles to business start-ups and growth is largely responsible for the sluggishness of the economy — and the idea of eliminating any of them is unthinkable to people raised on the notion that more government is always better.

Entrepreneurs are like wolves; they change the eco-system. We need more of them, but won’t get them in the heavily regulated, heavily taxed, entitlement-dominated state our “liberals” have created.
