A section of the county budget report titled “Exploring Public Private Partnerships” shared with readers that the “county manager’s office has worked with the county’s departments and has sought guidance from several publications, including the John Locke Foundation’s ‘First Annual North Carolina Privatization Survey.'”

A National Review article on the history of Arizona’s Goldwater Institute cited Sanera’s role as the institute’s founding director, and Sanera also granted an interview about smart growth to the Charlotte Observer‘s Lake Norman reporter.

A Wilmington Star-News editorial cited John Locke Foundation research about the benefits of shifting most 16-year-old offenders away from North Carolina’s adult courts and into the juvenile system. N.C. Senate Republicans’ daily press email and the Daily Haymaker blog highlighted JLF analysis from Director of Fiscal Policy Studies Fergus Hodgson and Terry Stoops about the impact of the N.C. House budget.
