In a nation of 300 million people, the roughly 2 million people in seven key counties within battleground states could determine the outcome of this November’s presidential election. One of those key locations is North Carolina’s Wake County.

That’s the assessment of Ed Morrissey, author of the new book Going Red. Morrissey shared details from his book during a presentation for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, Morrissey discusses the need for conservatives and Republicans to change the way they campaign for votes in places like Wake that have seen dramatic demographic shifts in recent years.
