Gray also delivered a legislative update during her latest appearance with Carl Lamm on WTSB Radio. Bertie County Republicans heard a legislative update from Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications. Kokai also discussed the General Assembly’s work during an appearance with Chad Adams on the WLTT Radio morning show, and he offered the Daily Tar Heel analysis of a potential showdown between Gov. Beverly Perdue and Republican lawmakers over the state budget. Lindalyn Kakadelis of the N.C. Education Alliance appeared on WBT Radio this week to discuss the controversy in Mecklenburg County over funding for the Bright Beginning preschool program. John Locke Foundation President John Hood shared his political analysis this week with the Durham County Republican Party, as noted in the Durham News. N.C. Senate Republicans’ daily press e-mails highlighted Hood’s columns this week on tricky fiscal maneuvers and worthwhile financial and unemployment reforms. The Discriminations blog cited Hood in discussing the controversy surrounding Wake County’s public school student assignment policy. Hood’s name also cropped up in an online hubbub about a recent constitutional presentation from the N.C. Institute for Constitutional Law. Founding Chairman Art Pope generated some publicity for the John Locke Foundation when he mentioned the organization in a letter to the News & Observer‘s editor critiquing a column about potential Republican divisions.
