WCCB Television called on Meck Deck blogger Jeff Taylor this week for insight and analysis on a pair of topics. Taylor critiqued proposals to raise Mecklenburg County’s sales tax, and he discussed suspensions of high school athletes. Taylor returns to WBT Radio today to discuss recent developments in Charlotte’s recycling program, or “Recycalypse 2010.” John Locke Foundation Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray returns to N.C. Spin this weekend to discuss North Carolina’s continuing growth, the state’s poor performance in graduating high school students, legislation to reform the state-run alcohol sales program, and corporate taxation. Gray continues to travel to Tea Party events across the state. The Macon County News interviewed Gray for a story on a gathering one week ago in Franklin. The Mount Airy News mentioned Gray in its preview of a Pilot Mountain Tea Party earlier this week, then quoted Gray in an article about the event. Gray heads to Rockingham for a Richmond County Tea Party this weekend. In other news, WITN Television cited the John Locke Foundation in a story about the transfer of lottery dollars to meet the state’s current public education expenses.
