Proponents of an increase of the state’s minimum wage offer the bare minimum when it comes to presenting an argument – by this I mean they rely on pathos.  Drawing on intense feelings of pity, aspiring Governor and current Sate Treasurer, Richard Moore, argues that we must raise the minimum wage to help lift the working poor out of poverty.  JLF resident economists jump all over this argument, setting straight the nostrum that adding more to the minimum wage will help, not hurt the poor.  Don’t fall for the faulty-economics: educate yourself.
