Michael Cannon explains here that the advocates, especially Obama himself, keep misleading people (to put it politely) by touting the benefits while completely ignoring the downsides. Even The New Republic admits that the prez lied in his latest speech.

You’ve probably seen ads for medicines on TV lately — ads where more time has to be devoted to warning possible users against the damage that the products could do than to the desired effects. Too bad that Obamacare (and other governmental miracle cures for problems) doesn’t have to be treated the same way. It has been peddled like those magical elixirs of old that supposedly cured everything that ailed you and had no bad side effects at all.
