In its recap of last week’s national election headlines, TIME magazine offered this brief take on the Hagan-Tillis race in North Carolina.
In North Carolina, the NRSC backed the speaker of the state house, Thom Tillis, in what seemed to be an uphill battle to Election Day. He proved strong enough to withstand more than $60 million spent on behalf of his opponent, Senator Kay Hagan.
It’s nice to see recognition from TIME that the majority of the money spent in this (not really) most expensive Senate race in history aimed to prop up Hagan’s campaign.
