1. Less than half Americans trust the federal government to handle world problems and even fewer trust the feds to handle domestic problems according to a new poll – a new low in confidence folks have in their government.
2. President Obama in 2008 promised he would not raise taxes in any form on middle class families, but five years later (to the day) his Health Care plan does just that with the following:
1. Individual mandate non-compliance tax
2. Flexible spending account tax
3. High medical bills tax
4. Medicine cabinet tax
5. Tax on union member and early retiree health insurance plan
6. 10 percent excise tax on indoor tanning
7. HSA Withdrawal tax hike
3. Here in North Carolina, only two insurance companies will offer coverage options in the ObamaCare health exchanges which open for enrollment on Oct. 1, 2013. No competition = higher prices + less quality.
4. Beef Stew with Red Wine
1 1/2 pounds stew beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can onion soup OR one envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 Cup red wine
1 can sliced mushrooms (large can if you’re a mushroom fan, small can if not so much)
Mix together well, put in covered casserole dish, cover and bake at 275 degrees for 4 hours.
Serve over rice with a green salad and call it dinner!
