Groups across the state continue to turn to the John Locke Foundation for insight about the new Republican legislative majority. Becki Gray, Vice President for Outreach, discussed the General Assembly this week during presentations to the Randolph County Republican Women and the Garner Rotary Club. She also participated as a panelist for the Association of Professional Fundraisers Triangle Chapter “Philanthropy Forecast 2011.” Gray participates in today’s first meeting of the group North Carolinians for Redistricting Reform. She returns to the N.C. Spin television program this weekend to discuss SBI changes, the Duke Energy-Progress Energy merger, child poverty, and gas tax increases. The Shelby Star interviewed Gray this week for an article about the new leader of the House Rules Committee. Meanwhile, the Wilmington Star-News published a column from Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications, urging lawmakers to adopt good rules and stick to them. Kokai discussed privatization of state liquor sales during an appearance this morning on Triad Rush Radio.
