JLF President John Hood visited Asheville
and Charlotte this week.  In Asheville, John spoke with WWNC-AM’s
Matt Mittan for two hours, covering a myriad of issues, among them:
favorite presidents, political ideology, state debt trends, and
taxes.  Fiscal policy analyst, Joe Coletti, was in high demand this week, speaking on the gas tax at Campbell University‘s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. Then on Saturday at the Carolina Inn, Joe explained to Americans for Fair Taxation his view on the state’s taxes, using JLF Spotlights (here and here) as well as a Policy Report to supplant his presentation. At the Raleigh Optimist Club, Donna Martinez talked about choice, the education lottery and the distribution of its proceeds, as well as class size reduction.
