Rural Center board president Valeria Lee offers the News & Observer a lame defense of the $241k golden parachute disgraced outgoing president Billy Ray Hall will receive on his departure from the tax-funded nonprofit:
Lee said that with his severance, Hall might stimulate the economy.
“He will spend it, I’m sure, and maybe create some jobs,” Lee said.
This is no different than the implausible cheerleading from the Left for expanding unemployment insurance benefits, saying they boost economic growth.
